The synopsis for each newsletter below gives
a general gist of our contributions, which makes up the thematic

omitted.

issue 1 January 2002
Gary wonders why he never completed the 'Part Three' series of study
notes and ponders upon the reasons for returning to earlier parts
of the form even if you know it in its entirety - is there really
an 'ending' to the study of form?
issue 2 February 2002
the difference betwen the two websites that come under the umbrella
of taichido - our 'taichido.com' site, which is the main tai chi
site, and his own 'doshi home' satellite that is more personal and
is primarily buddhist. Buddhism is an integral part of tai chi -
but do you need to be a Buddhist to practice it?
issue 3 March 2002
the idea of the 'virtual dojo' that taichido has become and wonders
on some of its fundamental principles.
issue 4 April 2002
the Tao Teh Ching in relation to the Marx Brothers. Pardon? yes,
you read correctly - go back to the start of the sentence if you
don't believe me. And yes, it does actually make a great deal of
sense.
Issue 5 May 2002
Gary looks back at his
relationship with his own tai chi master, Ray Wood and the strange
path that lead to us all practising tai chi together.
Issue 6 June 2002
In this newsletter we look at part 3 of the Yang form, and ruminate
on the nature of words.
Issue 7 July 2002
In an earlier issue of this Newsletter, Gary used the image of the
Marx Brothers as a metaphor for the Tao Teh Ching. He continues
here further into the void of imagery and uses himself and reality
as the metaphor and challenges our preconceptions ....
Issue 8 August 2002
This month we look at the weather.... A typically British thing
to do, since we're completely addicted to it. Gary though, looks
at doing tai chi outdoors - weather permitting! He also takes a
good look at his own instruction and the 'purism' of mastering part
one of the form
Issue 9 September 2002
we look back at the 'history' of Gary's side of Taichido, and how
his Buddhist activities link in with this.
Issue 10 October 2002
Here we look at writing about tai chi and provides us with some
gems of thought. Gary also gives us a transcription of his address
to the London Shogyoji Trust, which gives an insight into his marrying
of the website with the physical teaching of the form and his Buddhist
faith.
Issue 11 November 2002
the perseverance of completing the entire Long Yang form, and learning'
the entire form more than once. Also a look at the new wheelswithinwheels.net
website.
Issue 12 december 2002
First anniversary issue, viruses, tai chi questions, and Mark has
a go at how he sees Gary's Buddhism fit in with tai chi.
