Taichido Newsletter back issues 2003

2002 | 2003 | 2004 | 2005 | 2006 | 2007 | 2008 | 2009

Issue 13 January 2003
This month continues with Part Three of the Yang form from where the articles on the website stop off. Other news is that the interactive CD ROM of the Yang form is starting to become a reality, and take shape and we can reveal some of the features that we expect to become part of the CD.

Issue 14 February 2003
This issue coincides with a pertinent date in the history of both Taichido.com and the tai chi efforts of Gary Robinson, and marks a new 'era' in Taichido's sister sites and the Buddhist aspects of his work. In this issue he puts some background into these, whilst giving some important and poignant advice for the practice of tai chi that we should all consider.

Issue 15 March 2003
a visit from health professionals, why people start doing tai chi, and snippets of wisdom that will be a part of the forthcoming interactive CD.

Issue 16 April 2003
Gary talks about shooting video for the forthcoming tai chi CD in a Japanese Zen garden, and the issues that this has raised. He also talks about 'interesting times', its relevance to culture diversity and the place of tai chi within it.

Issue 17 May 2003
THE LAUNCH OF THE TAI CHI LONG YANG FORM INTERACTIVE CD At last, finally, the long-awaited Long Yang interactive CD is now available! The first (we think) of its kind, made by tai chi practitioners wth tai chi practitioners in mind.

Issue 18 June 2003
This month we talk more about theYang Form Tai Chi Interactive CD, the yin/yang symbol, the cycle and internal flow of chi and the I-Ching.

Issue 19 July 2003
Gary talks about his own tai chi origins and his teacher, as he now teaches others.

Issue 20 August 2003
Part Two of the interactive CD-ROMs launched. Plus: When taken one step at a time, Tai Chi movement and coordinated breath become 'natural' and easy to understand. The same applies to the Form in general. If you start from the beginning, the Form reveals itself to you and is learnt like music.

Issue 21 September 2003
In this issue Gary talks about the three different parts of the Yang form, concentration and consolidation, expectations and other aspects. We also bring you up to date with the latest news regarding the Taichido Tai Chi instruction CD-ROMs, and what we're doing next.

Issue 22 October 2003
chi kung and the benefits (some of them at least, this newsletter simply isn't long enough...) of tai chi.

Issue 23 November 2003
This month Gary moves away from tai chi into the wider view, and gives us some fascinating insights into martial art philosophy through his earlier involvement with Tokushima Budo and in particular his friendship with the founder of the British organization, Kanch Bates.

Issue 24 December 2003
If, like me, you do Tai Chi; you ipso facto (as a matter of fact) give credence and endorsement of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). That is to say, if you 'do' Tai Chi - you move Chi. If you have (ipso facto) chi, and you think you can move it, you are therefore (ipso facto) in full agreement with TCM
