Regular readers of this newsletter will know that I have a consultancy
with regional group of the Parkinson's Disease Sufferers Society.
We meet together once a month. The group is mixed about 50/50 sufferers
and careers/partners. I think it is fair to say that we are all over
50 in years! Of the sufferers some are in the early stages of the

elements of wood, fire, earth, metal and water pervade through Eastern
culture and philosophy and have a significant bearing upon the martial

Five Elements play an important part in its cycle.

Pushing Hands, tai chi Fan, tai chi Stick and tai chi Sword. Some
are meditative or for exercise, some are combative.

answers that you aren’t expecting. But the process applies
(as you will see) to tai chi – and indeed to all arts, martial
or not.
